In January 2019, Anna Davidová, an award-winning Czech director, became the artistic director of the Goose on a String Theatre, bringing with her a number of new collaborators, including dramaturges Kateřina Menclerová and Martin Sládeček. He replaced her as a new artistic director at the end of the 2020/21 season. The concept, which they have developed together at Zelný trh, emphasizes the non-compromising dramaturgy of contemporary topics and original designs. An important moment in it is also the opening of the theatre to diverse aesthetics and groups of audience.
Immediately after their arrival, the new artistic leadership invited a number of prominent personalities of Czech and Slovak directors to collaborate, among them Dodo Gombár, Jiří Havelka, David Jařab, Jan Mikulášek, Ondřej Spišák or Petr Erbes and Boris Jedinák.
