Anna Pammrová, Eva Prchalová
Allow me the wilderness of words!
To end up with the fate of a woman bound by the gruelling duty of marriage. To find one's place. To pay no mind to tales and lie down in solitude on a pillow of moss. They who want to live must shine, they who want to live must love!
Anna Pammrová (1860–1945), a life-tested and unjustly neglected philosopher from the woods near Tišnov, returns to Zelný trh after the premature departure of the Pammrová/Březina production – this time in the Husa na provázku version of the successful Prague Masopust Theater production directed by Anna Davidová. Because "creation is reincarnation"!
Antieva was created in 2018 based on the prose work of the same name, in which Anna Pammrová described the period between the fifth and ninth years of her life, when she was taken from her family and sent to her godmother for upbringing. It was from the painful contrast of the author's fervent relationship to the nature of the Highlands and the emotional coldness of the "bourgeois dressage" to which she was subjected as a girl that an emancipated, intellectually independent and far-sighted personality grew. Her later reflections on women and womanhood, progress, and nature preceded modern feminist and environmental movements and continue to inspire her readers to this day.
The current co-production of the Husa na provázku Theatre and the Masopust Theatre arose from the human and creative affinity of dramaturgically ambitious theatre scenes and the need to return Anna Pammrová's thinking to the Husa na provázku repertoire. Brno's Antieva with its premiere in 2023 is adapted to the cellar scene and introduced with a new cast.
Anna Davidová (1984) is, thanks to her dreamy directorial poetics and temperamental imagery, ranked among the most outstanding directorial talents of the younger generation. As a freelance director and, from 2019 to 2021, artistic director, who fundamentally contributed to the current shape of the theater at Zelný trh, she created a number of productions at Husa na provázku that were enthusiastically received by the professional public and the audience. She won the Theatre Critics Award in the Talent of the Year category. From season 24/25, she returns to the Goose on a String Theatre as a home director.
