Ensemble Opera Diversa
Miloš Štědroň's opera sketch Návrat (The Return) - František Sušil in his native Rousínov - was inspired by the life of František Sušil, Moravian theologian, Roman Catholic priest and collector of folk songs. Ensemble Opera Diversa plans to present this piece in its world premiere in the year of the 220th anniversary of Sušil's birth.
Due to the shorter time format, Návrat will be complemented by an already staged repertoire by the same composer - the chamber opera Magnum mysterium - The mundane and the sacred from the life of Gregor Mendel. This sketch was inspired by the life of the founder of genetics and one of the world's most important scientists. Miloš Štědroň, composer and musicologist, created this operatic apocryphal to his own libretto, combining fictional parts with real events and texts from the life of the later Abbot of Brno Old Town.
