The Goose on a String Theatre – a stage for contemporary themes and unexpected formats.
An artistic movement whose origins stretch back to the mid-1960s. Since 1967 it has been connecting playwrights, writers, musicians and artists for whom art is an approach to life and artistic creation is a right.
The poetic of this theatre/movement is characterized by an emphasis on developing the unique heritage of “irregular dramaturgy”, the power of the imagination and a shared physicality.
There work emphasizes freedom of speech, open dialogue and a plurality of opinions, and through their productions they have long been striving to spread these values and develop a Central European civic society.
Today the Goose on a String Theatre occupies a unique place on the European map and its award-winning productions are regularly performed at festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad.
