The nineties moved the Theatre on a String very significantly forward, mainly due to a change in the political situation. It enabled a number of trips to international festivals, participation in international projects or cooperation with foreign artists.
In the 1990s, the ensemble was renamed again to Husa na provázku/Goose on a String Theatre and subsequently left its home scene at the Art House with a happening called Posledních 24 hodin – bál vzpomínek (The Last 24 Hours – The Ball of Memories). The opening event called Otevření dveří (Open House) initiated the use of the reconstructed building of the House of Lords of Fanal, the baroque city palace on the Zelný trh square, which formed the first part of the new premises. The first premiere in the new premises was the chamber production of Slavnost Růží (The Feast of Roses). On the first of January 1993, the Centre for Experimental Theatre (CED), a new cultural institution of alternative type established by the city of Brno, started operating both, the Goose on a String Theatre and the HaDivadlo theatre, while both theatres remained independent creative entities at the same time.
One of the most successful productions of this period was Babička (The Grandmother) - a 1997 fetish revue by Božena Němcová. For the main role of the grandmother, her representative, actor Jiří Pecha, received an Alfréd Radok Award. In 1998, the ensemble of the Goose on a String Theatre celebrated thirty years since its establishment.
